Coming along?

There is nothing to book. Turn up on the day and you are welcome. But if you already know roughly when you are coming and going, telling us helps us lay out the right number of tables — and it builds the chart below, so everyone can see when the hall is heaving and when there is elbow room.

RexCon is free, and none of this is required. If you do let us know, you can do your whole group in one go.

We only use your email to send you a reminder the week before and to let you know if anything changes. Names shown publicly are shortened, so Amelia Brown appears as Amelia B.

Who is coming

    Talk it over first

    There is a forum, and anyone can use it — no account, no sign-up. Ask what people are bringing, look for a fourth for something long, offer a lift from the station, or find out whether anyone else has ever finished a game of Twilight Imperium.

    Start a thread and anyone can reply. It is all public, like a noticeboard in the hall.

      Games people are bringing to sell. Tap a photo for a closer look, and say I want this to put your name in line. Games and money change hands at the hall on the day; nothing is paid through this site.

      How the queue works

      Say I want this on a game and you take the next free place in line for it. Places stay in the order people asked, and if somebody ahead of you changes their mind everyone below moves up.

      Asking is not a payment and not a promise — it is simply the order the seller works down on the day. Find each other at the hall and sort it out between you.

      Your listings and the things you have asked for are remembered on this device, so you can come back and change or remove them. Clear your browser data and you lose that handle — an organiser can take anything down for you.

      Scan the code with your phone camera at the hall and your photo lands in the gallery below within seconds. No app, no account, no sign-up.

      Keep it to games, tables and willing faces. Anything that should not be up there, tell an organiser and it is gone.

      Next year is our twentieth

      RexCon has run twice a year for a decade, and next year the count reaches twenty. It gets a badge of its own — here is the first look. The date is still to be confirmed; tell us you are coming to this one and you will hear first.

      Before you come

      Getting there and in

      Grafham Hall is on the A281 between Bramley and Cranleigh, postcode GU5 0LJ (Google Maps). Parking is on site and free. Doors open at 10:00 and we lock up at midnight.

      Food

      Bring your own. Cakes, biscuits, snacks, sandwiches, a pizza for the oven — there is a kitchen with an oven, so hot food is fine. Fourteen hours is a long time; pack more than you think.

      Games

      Anything goes. Over the years the tables have held Werewolf, Terraforming Mars, Formula D, Rebel Princess, Scythe and Ark Nova, and plenty that fit in a coat pocket. Bring whatever you want to play, label the box with your name, and there is a shelf for games looking for players.

      Families

      RexCon has always been family friendly. Under-16s come with an adult who stays with them, and there is a quieter corner with lighter, shorter games for younger players.
